Radiopharm Theranostics has boosted its stake in a US-based joint venture with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to 75 per cent after promising preclinical results in a wide range of tumour therapies. The company says it has increased its hold in “Radiopharm Ventures” from 51 per cent by committing an additional US$4 million (AU$5.9 million) towards future preclinical and clinical trial expenses.

Aurumin is preparing to launch into a drilling campaign to expand its gold inventory and potentially find economic iron mineralisation at its range of projects around Western Australia’s historic Mid West town of Sandstone. The company has a 946,000-ounce gold resource at its projects and recently retrieved 320 pulp samples to be assayed for the iron it identified from rock-chip sampling.

Buxton Resources says a new diamond drilling campaign has nabbed a 68m intercept featuring about 10 per cent of visual total graphitic carbon from 43m at its Graphite Bull project in WA’s Gascoyne region. The company has completed 1221m of diamond core and 3534m of ongoing reverse-circulation drilling at Graphite Bull in a bid to produce an end-of-year mineral resource, with all holes intersecting graphite.

Novo Resources has produced a suite of high-grade gold assays after an intensive reassessment of core from past drilling at its Belltopper project in Victoria – just 50km south of Agnico Eagle’s world-class Fosterville mine. The company says its re-assaying of 11 historic diamond drillholes has confirmed multiple mineralised intercepts across several priority target corridor zones prospective for gold and other “in-demand” minerals.

ASX-listed Neometals has switched up its corporate strategy to sharpen focus on rolling out bigger and more lithium-ion battery recycling plants to a growing list of license holders via the Primobius joint venture it shares with SMS group. It will also target the sale of non-core assets and building strategic partnerships to share the ongoing development expenditure of other technologies to better manage its capital.

American West Metals says it has defined more solid evidence of a possible giant copper deposit at its Storm project in Canada’s Nunavut territory, with two deep diamond holes boring through a respective 21.3m and 99.2m of visible copper. ABx Group’s 83 per cent-owned subsidiary ALCORE will look to further refine its process to recover and recycle waste aluminium fluoride after securing a $474,000 Australian Government rebate for its research-and-development work in the past financial year. Oil and gas explorer 88 Energy is expecting imminent results on oil samples from the Hickory-1 discovery well at its flagship Phoenix project in Alaska, with a contingent resource estimate expected before year’s end. The oil sample tests are expected to help the company’s commercialisation planning at Phoenix and results are expected to be returned this financial quarter.

Maxwell will replace retiring chairman and founding shareholder Eric Streitberg, who is regarded as an industry stalwart after compiling a 50-year career.

Allup Silica has beefed up the leadership team tasked with producing a prefeasibility study on its mineral sands project in Western Australia's Eucla Basin by installing Simon Finnis as its new managing director. The company has also added experienced mineral sands operator Peter Secker as a non-executive director as it ramps up its plans to develop the McLaren valuable heavy mineral sands project.

Kalgoorlie Gold Mining is all cashed up and raring to rip into a new air-core drilling program to follow up shallow gold targets identified in its first probing of the Wessex deposit within its Pinjin project in WA. The program will entail 4500m of AC drilling in KalGold’s bid to further assess results from Wessex just three months ago that included 28m at 1.27g/t gold.

Infinity Mining is stretching its wings into multiple new gold, copper and other base metal projects in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania, with ground acquisitions from two vendors covering more than 2000 square kilometres. The projects are well-situated near other mining operations and come with extensive datasets and existing workings that will assist the company to quickly gain a rapid foothold on exploration and development.

American West Metals has paved the way for a resource upgrade and extension for its Cyclone deposit in Canada, with notable new drill hits including 19.8m at 1.2 per cent copper and 3g/t silver from just 12.2m. That intercept includes 4.6m going 3 per cent copper and 7g/t silver from 21.3m and a 3m slice running 3.2 per cent copper and 8.5g/t silver from 59.4m.
