Phillips River's Stirbinskis to head Drake Resources

Drake Resources has announced the appointment of former Phillips River Mining boss Jason Stirbinskis as its new chief executive.

Mr Stirbinski will commence in the role immediately, replacing Bob Beeson, who will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Drake chairman Brett Fraser said the company was pleased to welcome Mr Stirbinskis to the board.

“We believe Jason’s experience across financial markets and corporate strategy combined with his broad knowledge of the mining industry is critical for Drake’s growth,” Mr Fraser said.

Mr Stirbinskis also held senior roles with Central Asia Resources as well as consulting groups METS and Prospect Consulting.

At 1:30PM, WST, Drake Resources shares were steady at 12 cents, having been lightly traded.
