Principal Mining Engineer, Executive Chair since 2015 / AMC Consultants
Daniel Kahler has worked in the underground metalliferous mining industry since graduating as a mining engineer in 1996. He is a principal mining engineer with AMC Consultants and an executive board member of AMC's parent company (AHL) and AMC's business unit in Canada. He chairs and sits on committees of those boards. Mr Kahler also held a range of leadership positions including as technical manager of underground and global practice leader. He has extensive experience in most underground metalliferous mining methods including block caves, sub-level open stoping, narrow-vein deposits, and hand-held stoping. Mr Kahler has also worked in a variety of commodities including copper, gold, silver, lead, zinc, and gold-in-quartz for jewellery stone. Mr Kahler held technical and operational roles, and led many inter-disciplinary studies across the life of mining projects: from conceptual studies to mine closure studies. He also holds a First Class Mine Managers Certificate (QLD).
