Perth-based education provider Navitas has announced it will be partnering with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) to deliver an international student program across a minimum of five years.
The Global Student Success Program is set to commence mid-next year.
It will support the transition of international students entering into a US university environment and prepare them for academic success.
Navitas will be responsible for recruiting international students into the program and for direct entry into VCU.
It will operate on a royalty based model.
VCU is one of Virginia’s largest public universities, offering 128 undergraduate majors and graduate programs to about 30,000 students.
VCU provost Gail Hackett said VCU conducted a vigorous selection process for its internationalisation partner.
“Virginia Commonwealth University selected Navitas as an internationalisation partner because of their experience in preparing international students to succeed in higher education as well as their ability to develop a solution that meets our goals,” she said.
Navitas chief executive Rod Jones said VCU had a well-earned reputation for delivering quality programs, especially in healthcare and the arts.
VCU will be Navitas’ tenth North American partnership.
