Management shift at Tech Mpire

Former Google executive Lee Hunter has been named chief executive of advertising technology company Tech Mpire, succeeding Luke Taylor who will remain with the business in another role.

Mr Hunter, who joined Tech earlier this year as a non-executive director, joins the company after previously serving in head marketing roles at Google, and also served in an executive role at YouTube.

He will be paid a base salary of $275,000 per annum for his roles as chief executive and managing director, plus superannuation and incentives.

Mr Hunter replaces Mr Taylor, who will resign from his role as a director but will remain with the business as chief technology officer.

Mr Hunter’s appointment is effective immediately.

“The change in leadership reflects the ambitious goals we have for the company, as we pursue global growth,” chairman Stephen Belben said.

“The experience Mr Lee brings from working with tech giants, Google and YouTube, will be invaluable to the management and direction of Tech Mpire.”

Tech shares were 3.7 per cent higher to 28 cents each at 1pm.
