What ~ A new service for parents to find and book kids activities online, and for activity providers to fill their classes. Activity providers can list their services on Yabble for no fee and get charged only when bookings are made. Yabble is live now and ready for summer holiday activity bookings from Fremantle to Joondalup.
Who ~ Co-founders Anna Powell (CEO) and Daniel Pickering (product and technology) moved from New Zealand to Perth when they were chosen for the Vocus Upstart accelerator program this year.
Quote ~ “In a world where everything is automated and online, it’s still very difficult to use the internet to find new things for kids to do. We want to change that,” Ms Powell said.
$ ~ To date, Yabble has raised $60,000 in seed investment and is aiming to raise a further $200,000 to hire staff, grow new partnerships and expand interstate. Yabble is on the verge of releasing a new updated website, which will include more filters for the search and activity provider pages. The size of the market in Australia is sitting at approximately $4 billion. The next step for Yabble is to cover all major cities in Australia before expanding overseas.
